Plans unveiled for next stage of Bowesfield development
Monday 21 April 2008
Details of the latest stages of development at the unique mixed-use Bowesfield site in Stockton will be going on show at a public exhibition later this month.
North east property firm Banks Developments will be revealing its proposals for further commercial and residential development in the area at an exhibition to be held at Winder House, next to the Bowesfield office of Archers Law, between 3pm and 7pm on Wednesday 30 April.
A planning application has been submitted for a mixed use development in the north west corner of the site, which will encompass a shop, medical centre, houses, apartments and offices.
A further application is being prepared for an extension to the riverside community at Bowesfield comprising housing, offices and residential uses, linking the north east corner of the site with Bowesfield Crescent.
Plans are also being draw up for a major piece of public artwork, which would be situated on the roundabout at the entrance to the Bowesfield site.
Bowesfield is a prestigious 30 acre, mixed use development located next to a 37-acre nature reserve.
It is already home to commercial premises operated by Audi, Lexus, Toyota, Archers Law, Handelsbanken and Alliance & Leicester, as well as residential developments by Barratt Homes, David Barlow Homes and McInerney Homes.
Members of the Banks Developments team will be on hand at the exhibition to answer queries from visitors about the latest stages of the Bowesfield development.
Ian Parkin, Managing Director for Banks Property Ltd, says: “The Bowesfield development has been a tremendous success so far and is fast evolving into the high quality community that it was designed to be.
“We are excited by the potential that Bowesfield still holds, and believe the plans we are now proposing will enhance the appeal of the area even further for both residential and commercial occupiers.”
