Hunts Farm

Mickletown, Methley
Site Status: Planning permission refused at a public hearing
Local Authority: Leeds City Council

Banks Developments submitted an outline planning application for residential development at this site in March 2007. The proposals include the comprehensive development of the Hunts Farm site to provide up to 35 new residential properties. Although the application was recommended for approval at the planning committee, the decision was taken to refuse permission.

The scheme would involve the removal of the redundant and semi derelict farm buildings to be replaced by a sympathetically designed scheme with a landscaping buffer to the greenbelt boundary and a new access from Main Street.

The houses would be specifically designed for this site and will offer a mix of house types to suit all needs within the village including some affordable units.

Banks Developments is currently reassessing options for the site after planning permission was refused at a public hearing.
