Carfin Industrial Estate

Motherwell, North Lanarkshire
Site Status: Planning permission granted in February 2006
Local Authority: North Lanarkshire Council

The Project Team have worked closely with North Lanarkshire Council and existing businesses to agree the site design and access arrangements. A new feature roundabout has been built as part of the infrastructure works, which will also provide much needed traffic calming in the area.

Banks' in house engineers have overcome serious technical issues with the site. The works encompassed the demolition of existing derelict buildings, stabilisation of undermining, diversion of services and provision of new primary infrastructures, ahead of housing development which commenced in late autumn 2006.

Phase one of the scheme was sold to Manor Lane.  Phase two of the scheme was sold to Miller Homes.
