FAQ's

Waste management practices have changed dramatically as a result of new waste strategies and legislation.  Whilst of continued importance, landfill cannot alone sustain the management of waste over the next 50 years.

Banks Developments promotes fully integrated waste facilities, which include recycling and recovery as well as heat and electricity generation units. Waste that can not be recycled or reused can then be safely deposited into modern, well designed and sensitively operated landfill facilities.
  • Banks has designed and produced environmental assessments resulting in us achieving consented void space of approximately 24 million cubic metres.
  • We use waste management solutions to unlock the value of brownfield sites, to remediate dereliction and satisfy the waste management needs of the locality.
  • The team concentrate its efforts on regions of the UK where waste management infrastructure, including landfill is urgently required.  Projects are then designed to satisfy all the waste requirements in that area.
  • The provision of landfill sites often requires the extraction of clay, which can be used to reclaim derelict land.  We are also a major supplier of fireclay and brickshale to the UK brick industry.
